Ordering Information
In Stock
Orders for items marked as In Stock will typically be quickly fulfilled from our shelves.
In the unlikley event that the status of an item in your order is listed incorrectly, we will contact you immediately with an update, and will offer an revised estimate for when your order can be fulfilled (typically the next working day).
Please note that In Stock can often refer to a single copy on hand, so we always recommend placing an order via the site and awaiting confirmation that it is ready for you to collect before visiting in person.

Usually Available Next Day
Items marked Usually Available Next Day are available on backorder and typically arrive at the shop the next working day. Please note that this applies for orders placed before 4pm, and for orders placed later an additional working day will be required.
Occasionally some items can take longer to arrive. In the event that an item you have ordered is unexpectedly delayed and not expected within 1-2 working days, we will contact you by email with a delivery estimate.

Pre-Orders
Any forthcoming titles available to pre-order are clearly marked with a Pre-Order label, and the anticipated publication date. Typically, pre-ordered items will be available on or occasionally very shortly after the publication date, and in the event that we do anticipate a delay we will endeavour to keep you updated on the status of your pre-order.
Please note that by default, orders containing pre-orders will be fulfilled once all items are in stock. If your order contains pre-orders alongside currently available items, or multiple pre-orders, and you wish to receive your items individually as they become available, we recommend placing multiple orders rather than combining them.
Publication dates are subject to change (although this is an extremely uncommon occurrence overall). If you have a question about the status of a pre-order, please email us.
Gift Wrapping
Select the Gift Wrap option on product page to have your book wrapped for a flat fee of £1.50 each. Orders placed including the gift wrap option will be wrapped using preium patterned wrapped paper (with the specific design chosen by our team). A gift message can be included during this process (500 characters maximum) which will be written or printed on a Pages of Hackney postcard and included with your order.
Unless requested, only items with the gift wrap option selected when added to the cart will be gift wrapped. If you have different wrapping requirements for individual items or a whole order, please either place multiple orders or let us know your requirements in the order notes field during checkout.

UK postage costs (per order):
Royal Mail First Class – £2.95
Royal Mail Second Class – £1.95
Orders with a total greater than £50 will automatically qualify for free delivery (excluding subscriptions).
If you do not wish to have your order delivered, please select Collect In Person during checkout.
Please note that orders placed via our site can be delivered within the UK only. For international delivery, please email us stating the items you wish to order and your delivery address, and we’ll let you know your options for shipping.
